Matthew Black

Matthew trained as an actor graduating from East 15 Acting School in 2002. Since then he has worked in television, film and theatre. He has held the position of director for The Ragroof Players, performed as part of a comedy dance duo ‘The Gentlemen Friends’ and run theatre and dance workshops in schools, community settings, residential care homes, yoga retreats, fitness expos and for corporate and private events.

Sarah Clark


Company Manager


With over a decade of experience in the arts, Sarah has produced and delivered award-winning, socially impactful projects worldwide with Blast Theory and other artists. Her work has spanned interactive experiences, outdoor arts, games, theatre, exhibitions, workshops, and community co-creation – both online and in public spaces.

Alongside this exciting role, I’m also part of the creative producing duo, The Lasso Club.

Marketing and Administration Manager  | Illustrator –  ‘An Illustrated Lullaby’

After studying illustration, they went on to build a varied career across countries and disciplines, gaining experience in the luxury goods and fashion industry. Alongside this, they undertook meaningful work supporting a young adult with Down syndrome, which has deeply influenced both their creative outlook and personal approach.

They are now settled in their role at Murmuration, where they have rekindled their creative confidence as part of the marketing team. They also lead An Illustrated Lullaby project, supporting mothers in rediscovering and nurturing their own creative confidence.

Bec Britain


Development Director & Evaluator


Over 25 years Bec has produced projects across many genres, including visual art, dance, music, theatre, and outdoor arts. She is passionate about the power of creativity as a vehicle for social change, improving peoples lives and wellbeing, and focuses on creative education programmes, co-developed programmes to improve wellbeing, community engagement, particularly with marginalised or underserved communities and evaluation evidencing the impact of creative programming.

Nia Finlay


Mother Circle Programmer | Outreach Coordinator | Facilitator


Nia is a mother and a facilitator at Mothers Circle| Crawley, growing into her role through her journey with Murmuration Arts—first joining as a participating mother before moving into facilitation through mentoring and training. Now supporting Mothers Circle | Langley Green, she began her training with us through Level 2 Forest School and Wyld Experiences Facilitation and foraging. Nia is a valued community connector, bringing strong relationships from Crawley’s Hindu community and wider South Asian networks into her work.

Martin Glover


Artist and Access Advisor


Martin, a deaf architect and art facilitator, has always had an appreciation of the Arts which has led to him facilitating guided tours and workshops of all sorts nationally for Deaf sign language users.

He currently manages Digitspace project, centring around ‘Visual Arts through British Sign Language’, a collaboration with Arts curators as well as a pilot training programme; to mentor deaf people to become BSL guides in the North East region.

Parveen Khan is a Mothers Circle facilitator and trained in Forest School Level 1, supported by Murmuration Arts.

Parveen Khan is a community activist in Crawley. Working across various organisations; Creative Crawley, Wordfest, Talk Broadfield, SWS Sudhan Welfare Society, Crawley Museum and previously Diverse Crawley. Parveen has undertaken various projects with local mosques including drugs awareness.

Leadership Coach


Betttina is a leadership coach at Murmuration Arts, supporting individuals and organisations to grow with clarity, confidence and purpose. Her work focuses on reflective, inclusive leadership rooted in creative practice.

Alongside this, she brings over two decades of experience in the arts and leadership development. She founded ArtsAgenda in 2004, working as a Creative Producer specialising in outdoor arts and site-specific theatre.

Faye Houston

Born into a musical family, Faye Houston has been a professional singer, writer and performer for over 20 years. She has travelled throughout the UK and abroad, collaborating with musicians and artists crossing various styles and genres to create expressive,  heartfelt and powerful music.

China Blue Fish is a queer artist, actor, activist, singer and mother committed to shining a light on injustice and elevating imagination through music, comedy and theatre.

Will Hood


Podcast Maker


Will Hood composed the original songs for The Owl and The Pussycat. He usually spends his time writing music for film and TV or touring the world with his band, @theswingninjas.

He also produces the ‘Mother’s Voice’ podcast series, overseeing recording, sound engineering, editing and final production, as well as managing podcast distribution and hosting across online platforms.

An acclaimed and accomplished singer/songwriter, composer and producer who has also performed and collaborated with a host of talented artists and bands.
